Five easy tricks to improve your sleep and feel more energized!

1-LIGHT DINNER

A correct diet is essential: having the right meal at least an hour before going to bed will help you sleep and recharge your body. It shouldn’t be too heavy, as you’ll have trouble digesting, or too light, as you’ll feel hungry. Klietz recommends a reasonably sized meal, high in protein and saturated fatty acids, such as vegetables with chicken or fish. A warm cup of chamomile or peppermint tea is also a great idea!

2-NO CELLPHONES

Do you check social media when you’re in bed? You should definitely stop this habit! Electronic devices provoke excitement and don’t help having a good sleep. It’s much better to leave all gadgets on the table at least an hour before going to bed. A good book is a great way to get a good sleep!

3-FREE YOUR MIND

As soon as we switch off the lights, our brain does exactly the opposite: it turns on and starts thinking about anything and everything. How many times have you remembered something just after getting into bed, which leads to a long time of reflection before being able to rest?

We know it’s not easy to shut off your brain, but we can give you a little trick. To calm your mind, take a few slow, deep breaths. Let your muscles relax and focus on your breathing: feel the air going in and out. If a disturbing thought appears, don’t think about it, just return to the breathing routine until you get to sleep. Practice this every night and you’ll quickly notice the results!

4-USE HEAVY BLANKETS

We know, right? This seems awkward and uncomfortable but don’t be fooled, heavy blankets mimic an intense hug, which makes you feel protected, eager to forget all your worries and ready to sleep like a baby!

5-…AND START YOUR DAY WITH SOME ACTIVITY!
