Astonishing, last year, was the number of children who wanted to be a part of the new Wings for Life World Run. They wanted to step up, so we stepped up to make it possible for them to join in running for those who can't.
On May 3 2015, children, competing in wheelchairs or running, will take the global Wings for Life World Run into the next generation and keep the focus on finding a cure for spinal cord injury.
There are six global, distance-defined children's and teenagers categories:
In defined locations, there will be a children's and/or teenager's race, some having all six, others having one or two of the formats. If you want to run, check out what categories your location has available, and, if you're 16+, while you're there, check whether you qualify as an adult or teenager in the race you want to run in.
For the first time ever, you can race against friends in other countries, you can be a part of something truly global. Get your class together, call your friends and show the grown-ups how it's done. Register here to run in a race near you.
