How do I get to Kalmar municipally?
Kalmar airport is located approximately four kilometers west of the city center, bus 402 operates every 20 minutes and will take you to the straight in to Kalmar. If you arrive by train there’s only a five minute walk to the start area at ‘Stortorget’
Where can I park my car?
We recommend you to use public transportation, there are a lot of people in motion during these days. At ‘Södra Kanalgatan’ and ‘Kalmar Läns Museum’ parking lot you might find a spot. Otherwise it is easiest to find a parking spot a bit futher away from ‘Kvarnholmen’ and walk in to the city center. Kalmar isn’t that big so no long distances.
Where can I store my luggage?
Right next to the start lays First Hotel Witt (Södra Långgatan 42, Kalmar), there is a storage room where you can leave your bag. We take no responsibility for valuables.

Where do I find my race number?
Stadium, Storgatan 21:

When Should I be in the start box and ready to go?
All runners must be in the start box on the main square at least 30 minutes before the start.
How do I get back after I’ve been caught (crossed the finish line)?
There will be free shuttle buses that will take you back to the main square (Stortorget). The buses will be scattered at energy stations but also drive along the racetrack to pick up participants along the way.
What kind of beverages will there be at the energy stations?
All energy stations will accommodate you with water, sports drink, Simply cola, Red Bull, bananas and oranges. From 15 kilometers there will also be gels and from 20 kilometers there will also be pickles.
Younger than 18 years?
If you want to participate and are under 18 years of age (not authoritative) you need to have a parent or guardian with you when you pick up your race number.
Can I register on site in Kalmar?
Yes, you can register on site in Kalmar. See where and opening times above, it’s the same hours as you can pick up your racing number.
Can I follow the race on site in Kalmar/what happens there?
- You can see the start at the main square (Stortorget). The race starts at 1pm. However, as of midday there will be interviews, warm up’s and other entertainment on the stage next to the start.
- After the start you can follow the race LIVE on a large screen at the start area or visit www.baromatern.se
- Best spots on site in Kalmar are ‘Stortorget’ (the start), ‘Färjestaden’ around 8,2 miles (13,2km) and ‘Mörbylånga’ 19,8 miles (31.8km).
How long do I have to run to cross the bridge?

Can I take a shower somewhere after the race?
Yes, there will be showers available at the ‘Stagnelius’ school. The showers opens at 8am and closes at 7pm.
