WEEK 5: MUSIC AS MOTIVATION FOR TRAINING SESSIONS AND THE RUN

 The 12-week training plan includes also a very effective way for motivating oneself for training sessions and the Run, namely listening to music. Want to know what's on the playlists of the Wings for Life World Run ambassadors?

 

DAVID PLEŠE, Ironman: “Music affects one’s mood, and in my case music acts as uplift. I enjoy it when the music carries me away, it feels good. I listen to the music before and after training sessions, and also while driving around and singing out loudly without being heard.”

MATEJ MARKOVIČ, marathon runner: “In principle, I really like relaxing music, also instrumental; I in particular like the pianist Yiruma. That kind of music, of course, is not suitable for sports. Thus the music playing while being active must be wild, with higher rhythm that gives you that additional strength to get you through the most difficult parts of the competition.”
