Check out these big research numbers for 2018

The tallies are in, and they’re exciting. Thanks to the generosity of Wings for Life supporters – including more than 100,000 people who came together for the fifth annual Wings for Life World Run in May – international researchers are hard at work to find a cure for spinal cord injury.

Wings for Life has funded potentially life-changing medical research since 2004, and 100% of entry fees and donations raised by the Wings for Life World Run goes to cutting-edge projects identified by the foundation. After an elaborate selection process, promising new research projects and clinical trials have been added to the important work already underway, with 2018 figures showing that Wings for Life is currently funding 67 research projects across 15 countries from Australia to Uruguay.

Check out the encouraging facts and figures below, and visit the Wings for Life research page to learn more about the progress being made at top institutions including Harvard, Yale, Charité Berlin and more.

Then keep the research going: Sign up for a notification when 2019 registration opens, donate, or start organizing your own App Run now!
