The Wings for Life World Run unites people from all over the world in hopes of finding a cure for spinal cord injuries, so participants in the 34 global locations and in the Selfie Run are all essentially on the same team. Within each locale however, there are many other teams created, with members motivating each other, training together and pushing each other to their personal best distances as they attempt to outrun the Catcher Car – and have an amazing experience in the process.
Hector Arana of Miami, Florida's iRun Running & Walking Specialty Store has assembled one such team, the iRun Army. In 2015, the iRun Army numbered 100 runners who together logged 779 miles at the World Run, ranking them 14th of all the teams in the world. For 2016 the team already has over 130 World Run participants! Learn more about them in the video below.
