The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 травня 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Kosovo can also run together in Prishtine. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

The race route passes through the Gërmia Park, one of the most beloved natural areas of Prishtina. The start is on wide and well-maintained trails, while participants gradually enter deeper into the forests of Gërmia, surrounded by tall pine trees, clean air and the characteristic tranquility of the park. The terrain is mainly gentle, with slight elevations, making it suitable for all levels, whether running, walking or moving with a wheelchair.

Rruga e garës kalon përmes Parkut të Gërmisë, një nga zonat natyrore më të dashura të Prishtinës. Nisja bëhet në shtigje të gjera dhe të mirëmbajtura, ndërsa pjesëmarrësit futen gradualisht më thellë në pyjet e Gërmisë, të rrethuar nga pishat e larta, ajri i pastër dhe qetësia karakteristike e parkut. Terreni është kryesisht i butë, me ngritje të lehta, çka e bën të përshtatshëm për të gjitha nivelet, qoftë vrapim, ecje apo lëvizje me karrocë.
