The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 травня 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Austria can also run together in Ruprechtshofen. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

We’re running again for those who can’t. The start is at the car park of Ruprechtshofen Primary School, from where the route follows the Melkuferweg – through green meadows, fresh country air and pure motivation. One lap is 3.3 km, which you can run several times depending on your mood and fitness level. Whether you take it easy or give it your all – every step counts! 💪

Before the start, a group warm-up gets everyone in the mood; along the route, motivational signs await, and there are water stations for refreshment. From 11:00 am, regional refreshments, race number collection, music and a relaxed get-together await you in the start/finish area. We’ve also got something for those with a big appetite – the Pizzamanufaktur from Steinakirchen will be there with their food truck from 12:00!
