The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 de mayo de 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Germany can also run together in Bad Aibling. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

The Wings for Life World Run is one of the largest running events in the world, inspiring hundreds of thousands of participants every year. Its unique race format makes it special—for runners as well as wheelchair participants.

Instead of a fixed finish line, there is a digital Catcher Car—the race’s mobile finish line. It tracks all participants virtually via the app and gradually catches up with them. Important: every participant must have the Wings for Life World Run app on their smartphone, as both timekeeping and the digital Catcher Car are managed through it.

On May 10, 2026, you can also take part in Bad Aibling. The race starts exactly at 1:00 PM. Thirty minutes later, the digital Catcher Car begins at 14 km/h and continuously increases its speed until the last participant is caught.

The practice organizes the route on site, provides refreshments, and ensures a smooth event.

The special aspect: 100% of all entry fees and donations go directly into spinal cord research—with the goal of finding a cure for spinal cord injury.
