The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 maggio 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Austria can also run together in Flachau. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

🏃‍♂️ 4 km Running Route – Join our Community Run in Flachau!

The route starts at Glückskind. From there, run towards Musistadl and turn right at Musistadl in the direction of the Lucky Flitzer Rodelalm. After passing the Rodelalm, continue for a short distance and then turn right onto the Wiesenweg, which leads directly towards MPreis.

Continue across the MPreis parking lot, then turn right onto the bike path. Follow the path past the sports field until you reach the playground in Flachau.

At the playground, turn right, cross the playground area and then turn right again onto the main road, which leads back to Glückskind.

🥤 Refreshment station: Glückskind 📏 Distance: approx. 4 km

This route is only a recommendation and can easily be shortened, extended, or adapted individually. The advantage of this loop is that you pass the refreshment station at Glückskind every 4 km.

After the run, we’ll wind down the day together with a delicious Toaglarei pizza and cold drinks on the Glückskind terrace. WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU! 😍😍
