Welcome to Flagship Run Munich
Munich, at the foot of the Alps – a metropolis with heart and a lot of tradition. It is hospitable and pulsating, charming and bustling; in the middle of the incredible Bavarian outdoors, surrounded by beautiful lakes and an impressive alpine world. With nearly 1.5 million inhabitants, Munich is Bavaria’s most populous and largest city. The Wings for Life World Run starts in the north of the city in Munich’s Olympic Park, whose grounds were developed for the Summer Olympics in 1972. It is home to a number of famous structures, such as the Olympic Stadium, Olympic Hall and the Olympic Tower, and is world-famous for its pavilion-roof.
