The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 Mayıs 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Canada can also run together in Kelowna. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 04:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

The run will begin and end at Okanagan Lifestyle (115–1295 Cannery Lane), located in the heart of Cannery Lane, right next to Sprout Bread and SpinCo.

From there, participants will head out on a vibrant out-and-back route toward the Kelowna Visitor Centre before returning to the OKGN lifestyle. You can repeat this route until your hearts desire. The paved pathway is smooth and accessible for all types of movement, whether you’re running, jogging, walking, or wheeling—making it welcoming and inclusive for the entire community.

Designed for connection and high energy, the out-and-back format creates endless opportunities for high fives, cheers, and shared momentum as participants pass one another along the route. With stunning views of Okanagan Lake and plenty of space for spectators to line the pathway, the atmosphere will be lively, supportive, and filled with community spirit from start to finish!!
