The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 de mayo de 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in United States can also run together in Newport Beach. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 4:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

We’ll be running from Mutt Lynch’s on a roughly 4-mile out-and-back route. The run will start at 4am at Mutt Lynch’s, head south along the Newport Beach Boardwalk on the Balboa Peninsula, continue past Newport Pier, and reach the turnaround point near Balboa Pier at about the 2-mile mark. From there, runners will head back up the boardwalk to finish at Mutt Lynch’s. We’ll of course have Red Bull on site to energize you before the run, as well as assorted snacks/breakfast items available post run. 🏃‍♂️🥤
