The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10. svibnja 2026. Wings for Life World Run participants in Germany can also run together in Düsseldorf. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

Hello Düsseldorf, hello Sunday Running Club,

the Sunday Running Club stands for openness and celebrating together. Everyone is welcome. By now, we have become Europe’s largest run club, and there is nothing better than using that scale to run for those who cannot.

We are hosting a huge Wings for Life Run and hope you will all join us!

You know the route. We will run the loops until the catcher car catches us. We will keep passing by the store, where there will be refreshments, Red Bull, gels, and more. Everyone who gets caught can then head to the support and hangout zone. There, we will cheer on those still running and celebrate those who have already finished.

Let’s make this big and build the largest Wings for Life community together.
