On July 1, 2009 my brother was assaulted receiving a shot in the neck. The 38 caliber bullet only fractured the spinous bone of the C5 without touching the spinal cord by a miracle, however, it was inflamed due to the heat of the shock wave. Instantly he lost sensation and motor activity from the neck down. After surgery and 3 months of intensive care. He came out of the hospital fighting for life, recovery and new ways to live. His name is Cesar Antonio Navas "CAN" and through his resilient and fighter character he shows everyday that the limits of your life and what you do are only in your mind. He always keeps proving that, no matter what, you CAN CHANGE THE WORLD, you CAN PUSH YOUR LIMITS, you CAN ACHIEVE what you fight for, you CAN FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS, yes he CAN and we CAN too! This world run is a challenge I chose (I hate running) due to its message and power. It supports the spinal cord research and gives people around the world the opportunity to push their limits to achieve something bigger! #ICANMOVE
