Instructions for OnePlus devices

WARNING: Your run tracking will not work properly if these settings are not configured correctly. Please follow the instructions carefully.

To ensure your Wings for Life World Run app works on race day, follow these setup steps for your OnePlus device:

Basic Settings

• Lock the app to prevent termination:
  • Open recent apps (swipe up and hold)
  • Long press on Wings for Life World Run app window
  • Tap the Lock button in the upper right corner
• Disable battery optimization:
  • Go to System Settings > Battery > Battery optimization
  • Switch to 'All apps' in top right menu
  • Find Wings for Life World Run app and select "Don't optimize"

Advanced Battery Settings

For OnePlus 6 and newer devices:

• Turn off Advanced optimization:
  • Go to System settings > Battery > Battery optimization
  • Tap three dots menu > Advanced optimization
  • Disable "Deep optimization" or "Adaptive Battery"
  • Disable "Sleep standby optimization"

Additional Settings

• Disable App Auto-Launch restrictions for Wings for Life World Run app
• Keep the app in Recent Apps without swiping it away during race day
