The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10. maj 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Croatia can also run together in Rovinj. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

This year you have the opportunity to run in Rovinj! A small town on the west coast of Istria, with an exceptional history complemented by Mediterranean charm, in its greenest part, the "Zlatni Rt/Punta Corrente" Forest Park. The start of the race is located immediately above Punta Cabana beach, on the "Punta Corrente" meadow itself, colloquially called "Ploča". After the start, the path heads south towards the Punta Corrente cape, passing the former stables from where the view towards the "Red Island" opens. It continues along the tree line, following the beautiful beaches of "Balsamake" and "Zlatna uvala", followed by a gentle climb towards the children's playground. It passes by eucalyptus groves and descends again on the main macadam from the north side in the direction of the main entrance. We descend into the bay "Lone" and follow the winding path along the sea itself and a beautiful view of the town of Rovinj, the island of St. Katarina, we reach the final part, "Zvezde zvezderova", after which we close the circle and start climbing. The length of the trail is 3.06 km with an ascent of 22 m. The indentation of the coast will give you a new view, a new detail, a new impression every round, which, we believe, will leave a deep mark on you. *Participation in a wheelchair is at your own risk.
