The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 mai 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Spain can also run together in Barcelona. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

1. Start – The Social Hub Barcelona We gather outside the main entrance for a group warm-up and briefing before starting together.
2. Urban Warm-Up (City Blocks) We run through the Poblenou neighbourhood, crossing a few blocks to gradually build rhythm before reaching the sea.
3. Beachfront Energy We reach the promenade and run along the Mediterranean coastline. Flat, open and perfect for pace — sea breeze included.
4. Turnaround Point • 5KM: Turn back at the 2.5KM mark. • 10KM: Continue along the coast and turn at 5KM. We retrace the beachfront and head back through the neighbourhood towards the Hub.
5. Finish & Rooftop Celebration We finish at The Social Hub and head up to our pool terrace for well-deserved drinks, recovery vibes and community celebration.
