The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 მაისი 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Germany can also run together in Puchheim. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

Come along on a beautiful route in and around Puchheim! Starting at the fire station in Puchheim-Ort, the route takes you along a road through vast natural landscapes toward Puchheim-Bahnhof. There, you’ll cross a bridge and pass through the small urban section of our trail. Run along a picturesque avenue, past the golf course, and through a small forest to the idyllic Gröbenbach stream. After a right turn, you’ll be greeted by expansive views stretching all the way to the Alps – so close to the Zugspitze! Follow the Gröbenbach along a well-maintained gravel path back to our fire station in Puchheim-Ort.

The route features both gravel and asphalt paths. Depending on your preference, you can shorten the loop to 2 km or choose a shorter, all-asphalt track, ideal for participants in wheelchairs.
