Timelkam, Austria

The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 maja 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Austria can also run together in Timelkam. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

The course starts at the fire station of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Timelkam and initially heads south, crossing the bridge on the left toward the Marktturm. After the Marktturm, the route turns left along Stiftergasse to the bridge over the Dürre Ager. The bridge is crossed in the direction of Flößerweg, and the course then continues north over the Vöckla Bridge.

After the bridge, the route turns right onto Vöcklauferweg toward Eiding. As the bridge in Eiding is closed due to renovation work, the course turns left and heads back toward Gasthaus Heikerdinger. Before reaching the inn, the route turns left through the underpass and continues again toward the Vöckla Bridge. From there, it returns via Flößerweg to the fire station.

The approximately 4 km course is then repeated. The route runs mostly along walking paths away from heavily trafficked roads. A refreshment station is located near the fire station.
