The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 de maio de 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Austria can also run together in Hofstätten a. d. Raab. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

After starting together at 1 p.m. at the Seidnitzer car dealership in Pirching, the route leads through the underpass towards Bramacstraße. After crossing the railway tracks, participants can choose whether to turn right for the longer loop towards Reithof Hofstätten/Gleisdorf, or continue straight ahead onto the "flat" (Raabweg). ...] Circular Route 1: Turn right onto Bramacstraße towards the riding stable. After 1 km, you'll reach a junction where you can see the riding stable. Turn left there (Raabweg) and take a side path between the fields back towards Sulz/Hofstätten or the car dealership (route length approx. 2 to 2.5 km). This route is also wheelchair accessible.

Circular Route 2: Walk straight ahead along a small stream until you reach a junction. Turn left there, and at the next junction, turn left again onto the small side paths (short loop, approx. 1.5 km). This route is also wheelchair accessible.

Circular Route 3: Follow the route of Circular Route 1 or 2. On the flat section, walk along the path towards Sulz. At the junction, continue towards Sulz, then turn left and at the underpass to Hofstätten, turn left again. Then walk along the railway line towards Pirching/the car dealership. There is a short section of the route that is a gravel path (Bahnbackerweg) (not recommended for wheelchair users). - Route length approx. 5 km

The finish line will be on the running route at the intersection of circular routes 1 and 2 (Kowaldweg).
