What is the Wings for Life World Run?
The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On May 9, 2027 Wings for Life World Run participants in United Kingdom can also run together in Milton Keynes - Red Bull Racing Campus. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 12:00:00 PM. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.
Track
Take on the Wings for Life World Run in a truly unique setting, with a route through the home of Oracle Red Bull Racing.
The course follows a loop around the Red Bull Technology Campus, taking runners through the factory grounds and past the refreshment pit lane.
With the opportunity to experience the campus from a completely different perspective, participants can soak up the atmosphere of one of Formula 1's most successful teams while running, jogging, walking or rolling for a great cause.
The route runs on closed roads and cycle paths around a 1.6km loop.
Starting outside the Red Bull Racing Technoloogy Campus the route follows Bradbourne Drive running past the home of Red Bull Racing, Ford Powertrains and Vica Cash App Racing Bulls. After 500m the course turns to the left passing the other businesses on the industrial estate; after 1.2m the course turns off the road onto a cycle path to cover the last 300m which brings the course back to Red Bull Racing and the start line.
The course is easy to follow and is signed throughout; as it is all on paved roads and cycle paths it is a good course for wheelchair athletes.
