The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Now on May 10, 2026 Wings for Life World Run participants in Slovakia can also run together in Nižná Myšľa. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 1:00:00 PM. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

Route Nižná Myšľa lies on the border of the Košice Basin and the Slanské vrchy Mountains, about 12 km from Košice - at the confluence of the Hornád, Olšava and Torysa rivers. Thanks to significant archaeological finds, Nižná Myšľa is today a well-known and sought-after location. The site of European importance on the Várheď hill is definitely worth a visit, where the NIŽNÁ MYŠĽA ARCHEOSKANSEN is located - the base of our run (complete sanitary facilities, refreshments, changing room and storage. Parking on site). Archaeological finds from this and other sites around the village can be found in the Myšľa Municipal Museum, which is located in the building of the Premonstratensian monastery near the Church of St. Nicholas. The village and its surroundings The circuit consists of 20% asphalt, 80% forest road and unpaved roads. Nordic walking welcome. After starting at the Archeoskanzen downhill on an unpaved road to the Oľšava River, the concrete route heads slightly uphill to the archaeological sites of Alamenev and the forest flat section of Skalka. After reaching this point, a flat meadow road leads to the village. The last part of the route will lead along an asphalt road through the village back to the end point.
