The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 мая 2026 г. Wings for Life World Run participants in Austria can also run together in Altmünster. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

The route starts at the Kerngesund am See parking lot in Altmünster, follows the road towards Gmunden to the Oberbank on the Esplanade, and then returns to our Kerngesund am See studio.

We'll run together with views of Lake Traunsee and the unique mountain scenery from the Kerngesund am See studio along the Esplanade towards Gmunden to the TTC - Traunsee Trailrunning Club aid station near the Oberbank and then back again. 😊

There will also be an aid station in front of our Kerngesund am See studio. The TTC team is also organizing an app-based run in the opposite direction, and runners are welcome at both aid stations. 🫶
