The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 10 мая 2026 г. Wings for Life World Run participants in Hungary can also run together in Gyöngyöshalász. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 13:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

🏁 START INFO – COURSE DESCRIPTION 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The starting line is set in front of the Csárda in Gyöngyöshalász – and from here, the adventure begins! 🎉 We head towards Széchenyi Street, turning right into a long, straight section – a great spot to settle into your rhythm. 💨

At the end of the cemetery, we take another right turn onto Táncsics Mihály Street – enjoy the downhill here, it’s a perfect stretch to pick up the pace. 😎

From there, we continue onto Damjanich János Street, then at Szabadság Square, we turn onto Árpád Street.

Next, we cross Fő Street and stay on the same road, which becomes Gárdonyi Géza Street just after the crossing.

At the end of this road comes a sharp right turn, leading us onto Zrínyi Miklós Street – a slight uphill awaits, but the start zone is already in sight! Here you’ll find a refreshment station to recharge. 💧🍌

This loop is approximately 2.1 km long and you can repeat it as many times as possible – until the Catcher Car reaches you! 🎯
