The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. On 2026年5月10日 Wings for Life World Run participants in Canada can also run together in Whistler. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 04:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

The run will start at Whistler Cay, 6368 Easy Street. From there, we’ll complete a loop around the Tapley’s Farm neighborhood, then head back toward Lorimer Road and onto the Valley Trail, making our way toward Rainbow Park. Please bring a headlamp, as some sections of the trail are not fully lit. Note that the route is wheelchair accessible and mostly flat.

We’ll turn around at Rainbow Park and follow the Valley Trail back to the starting point at 6368 Easy Street. If the catcher car hasn’t reached you yet, you can continue by doing additional loops around the Tapley’s Farm neighborhood.

You’re also welcome to start the run wherever you’d like and meet us at the finish line for some refreshments at 6368 Easy Street. Just look for the big blue Red Bull umbrella and cooler.
