We are running to raise money and awareness for Spinal cord research. We were unfortunately in the Dark about any of this back in 2022 when our Special little miracle Arlo was born. Firstly diagnosed at a 24 week scan with Spina bifida which was a gap in his spinal cord near the base, this cause a huge sack to grow on his back on the outside unknowing whether it would be full of spinal fluid or not until he was born. Arlo received spinal cord surgery at less than 24 hours old, removing the sack and fusing the spine together. Not knowing if this would be damaging to his future mobility. Fortunately, to this day, Arlo is defying all odds and doing everything everyone thought he wouldn't do, he is the cheekiest, smartest best little dancer in the world. Thankyou to all the surgeons and doctors in Alder hey for saving our little miracle. Any money we raise will go towards helping other little Arlos in the future.
