Get your phone ready to run with these tips

It’s important to verify your GPS and power settings before May 3.

The App will show you how. When you log in, a GPS and power settings indicator will appear. Even if both are green, please check the settings below to be 100% sure that all will work well. If either one is red, click the "Adjust settings" button to get things right.

Every device is different, so we’ve put together a rundown of tips specific to a variety of phone brands, from iOS to Androids.

OTHER ANDROID DEVICES

Most Android phones use a power saver/optimization found in settings. Please make sure the World Run App is excluded from the energy-saving mode and that optimization is disabled.

Some devices may have apps installed that disable GPS services or terminate background apps to reduce battery use and improve system performance.

Apps to look for: Advanced Task Killer and Juice Defender. Please disable or adjust the settings of these apps to allow the World Run App to receive GPS information during long periods of background operation.
